Awakening An Angel
awaken,
my angel…
born to the world
asleep and dreaming.
in fitful
fantasy
she knows
that
she is,
but not what
or how lovely -
she doesn't realize
if she'd only try
that she could float
and she could fly.
open your eyes
and feel the sky,
spread your wings
exit the slumbered lie.
